I'm not planning to blow up any television studios, if that's what you're asking.

Besides, if I was planning on it anytime soon I wouldn't broadcast it until afterward. That would just be tacky.

But if it makes you feel better, then yes, it is just for battles.

I see... [He has a baaaaad feeling about this.] If I had to guess, looking into fire or electric types would probably get results like that. That's just the logical conclusion.

What kind of Pokemon is she?

An electric type. And part ghost, I think?

They're called Rotom, anyway.

Rotom... They're common here in Goldenrod, or at least I seem to see them quite a bit.

There did seem to be a few of them floating around the department store.

I suppose if she can't learn to explode herself I might be able to teach her to blow up electronics.

I am positive you're not allowed to blow up electronics in a battle.

There are limited things you can use in Pokemon battles.

Rotom seems like a unique case from what I've heard, although I'm by no means an expert, so there may be things specifically for it.
