Personality:
Harime Nui's morality and logic are quite literally not of this Earth. She was gestated in a lab in an artificial womb of living, alien Life Fibers by Ragyo Kiryuin, who then used the superhuman abilities to this granted Nui to turn the young girl into something of a personal assassin. Their relationship is an incredibly close one; Nui willingly sacrifices herself with a smile on her face to further Ragyo's goals when asked. Nui's loyalty to her surrogate mother is heavily implied to have gone beyond platonic or familial affection, straying into a twisted Nabokovian romance which Ragyo almost certainly instigated; whether this abuse or her alien biology that contributed more heavily to her psychotic nature is a moot point. The end result was a young woman of almost unparalleled power who could go and do wherever and whatever she wanted. Her power is something to be flaunted over others; when tasked with investigating and eliminating Dr. Isshin Matoi, she gleefully toyed with him for as long as possible with minimal effort on her part. It was only when he managed to catch her off-guard and seriously wound her that her chipper facade dropped. This played out in almost every combat situation in which she took part of in the future – she repeated her tactics with the late Dr. Matoi's daughter, Ryuko, on whom Nui decided to inflict vengeance for Dr. Matoi taking her eye and successfully concealing his true work from her. Nui goaded Ryuko into a blind rage, letting the girl viciously attack her while almost casually blocking every hit with one arm. It wasn't until their later fight, in which Ryuko proved strong enough to warrant actual EFFORT from Nui, that she displayed any kind of dismay. Even later, when facing Ryuko at her strongest, it wasn't until the efforts of the normal humans Nui held in such utter contempt resulted in Ragyo's plans going awry and Nui herself getting badly injured that she truly lost her cool, suffering a breakdown from which she never fully recovered.

She was taught from birth that normal humans were little more than cattle for the Life Fibers that had spawned her – the final stages of Ragyo's plans centered Life Fibers all over the world consuming the people who wore them. This lead to a great deal of contempt, on Nui's part, for humanity in general. That it was possible to count on one hand the number of humans who could keep up with her in any significant sense certainly didn't help. The one human Nui seemed not to hate was Ragyo's eldest daughter, Satsuki Kiryuin. Even in that case, calling Nui's feelings for Satsuki affection may be a bit of a stretch: Nui seemed to gain amusement at Satsuki's assertions of authority and displays of power more than anything else. Despite proclaiming loyalty to Satsuki as part of the Kiryuin family, Nui rarely missed an opportunity to remind Satsuki that she held no meaningful authority over Nui. The most notable of these occasions being an almost entirely blatant disregard for Satsuki's order to leave Ryuko to her; it was barely more than a week after receiving the order that Nui disguised herself and snuck into Satsuki's academy in order to lure Ryuko into another confrontation. It was perhaps a day at most after THAT when Nui secretly inserted herself into a combat mission as Satsuki's pilot on little more than a whim, revealing herself after the dust had settled with the declaration that she could go wherever she wanted. Nui's existence was a highly lonely one, with Ragyo being the only one she could relate to for most of her life. When she got over her initial shock at the revelation that Ryuko was like her, fused with the Life Fibers, she seemed to be genuinely happy at finding her new 'sister'. That she displayed this affection by assisting Ragyo in brainwashing Ryuko and then setting her loose on her former companions is perhaps the best indicator of just how warped Ragyo's care left Nui's emotions. She seems to genuinely find the best efforts of other people highly amusing, acting chipper and cheerful while watching bloody destruction, secure in the knowledge that her own abilities keep her above such petty things.

One of the only things seems to fear is someone gaining the upper hand on her – when Ryuko manages to negate her Life Fibers' ability to regenerate Nui genuinely loses her cool for the first time in the series, screaming and ranting while spraying blood everywhere. The psychological damage from even a temporary defeat is one from which she never completely recovers, almost entirely dropping her cheerful facade in the final battle in favor of outright viciousness. Her other significant fear, an extension of the first, is the possibility of failing Ragyo. In the aftermath of Ryuko breaking free from her brainwashing and truly endangering their plans for the first time, Nui is only snapped out of her angry ranting by the reminder that someone is going to have to tell Ragyo – the idea that she would not only have failed but would have to take responsibility for it. The fear of failing Ragyo pushes Nui to desperation, enough to finish the most complex sewing project left to her -and the lynchpin to Ragyo's final plans- without the use of her hands. Her success, and the resulting praise from Ragyo, is essentially the only time Nui has been shown to be happy without murdering someone.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Sewing Skills: Nui is the Grand Couturier of an international clothing and textiles company; a fashion designer and expert seamstress. She's capable of sewing complicated garments without the use of her hands, if necessary.

+Combat Specialty: Over the course of the series, Nui has fought using a weaponized tape measure, a giant scissor-blade, and a knitting needle.

+Infiltration/Disguise: Nui has gone as far as successfully fabricating an entirely new appearance and identity for the sake of laying a trap, and at one point manages to insert herself as someone's personal pilot without them realizing. Access to magical ability-enhancing cloth helps, but Nui can be very sneaky when she needs to.

+Piloting: On at least one occasion, Nui has proven capable of piloting a helicopter.

-Poor Social Skills: Nui was raised BY an inhuman sociopath to BE an inhuman sociopath. She tends to creep people out despite her outwardly cheerful demeanor, and not just because she doesn't always mind talking about the people she's killed.

-Need for Control: Even if she's not strictly in control of a situation, Nui likes keeping herself a bit aloof from everything. Things going truly and unexpectedly wrong is the easiest way for Nui to lose her composure.

-Temper: Once her outward shell of cheerfulness breaks, Nui tends to lose it big-time.

-Immortality/Inhuman: Used to being nigh-immortal and untouchable, Nui is very much unaccustomed to actually having to worry about things like injury and death. Normal humans are for the most part naked apes barely worth attention, let alone contempt.

-Grudges: Nui is more than capable of carrying a grudge against someone out on their surviving family or loved ones if necessary.

-Problems With Authority: Nui is capable of and willing to following orders, but largely inasmuch as they coincide with her own whims. She does what she wants, and very few people are capable of stopping her.

Samples
First Person Sample:
Boring, boring, boring!

[Did you want to be woken up this early by a video broadcast, people of Johto? No? Too bad. You're getting a faceful of a young blonde woman in a pink lolita-style dress, and you will like it.]

This fish is so boring! I've had it for weeks now and all it does is flop around!

[The Pokégear's camera spins around to reveal the boring fish in question, a Magikarp flailing around sadly on the floor of a hotel room. Nui makes an annoyed 'tsk' sound before spinning the gear's camera back to her.]

I was told that it would change into something actually worth keeping, but I'm starting to think someone lied to me.

[There is a definite hint of a pout in her expression.]

Bad enough that this fish is an eye-sore, but it's completely useless in battle, too. If something doesn't change soon, I'm either going to release it or turn it into sushi for one of the monsters that actually pulls its weight.

[What sounds like a fairly terrified cry of 'Karp!' comes from off-screen, but Nui ignores it.]

If it comes to that, I'm going to have some very choice words with the people who made me waste my time on this!

Third Person Sample:
Nui gave her parasol a small twirl, looking out at the grassy, wooded area that made up the massive center of the National Park. The Bug Catching Contest was in full swing. The sounds of battle drifted out from the tall grass; trainers shouting orders to their Pokemon and the responding sounds of attacks. Nui had seen some of them in action, practically charging into battle alongside their pet monsters. It was almost cute, really.

Reaching one hand down to her waist with practiced fluidity, Nui tapped the release button on the one Pokéball left at her waist. In a now-familiar click and flash of light a Rattata appeared in front of Nui, hopping back and forth and looking around frantically.

"Ordures," Nui called out in a sing-song tone. The Rattata jerked in place and spun to face its trainer, teeth furiously chattering for an instant. Even as it faced Nui, it's gaze darted everywhere around them.

"Go on, and quit playing stupid," Nui said sweetly, resting her free hand on her parasol's handle. "You can't keep relying on me to tell you what to do. Your little weakling scaredy-cat act is getting boring. Go on now."

The Rattata took a few hesitant steps towards the grass; it took a quick glance back at Nui before zipping off into the park's center like it had been fired from a slingshot. Nui stayed where she was, humming quietly to herself and waiting for the sound of combat that would signal that her Rattata was performing as-trained. Her usual smile broadened a bit as a rodent shriek sounded from the grass, followed by a few quick impacts. Maybe Ordures wasn't complete trash after all.

The thought had barely finished crossing Nui's mind when another terrified squeak came from the grass closely followed by the terrified Ordures, fleeing in terror from an enraged Beedrill. Nui let the Rattata shoot past her, sighing a bit as the Beedrill's attention shifted to her.

"I'm disappointed, Obdures," she called to the retreating Pokemon, her expression still fixed in a calm smile as she drew out an extra Pokéball hidden within the depths of her dress. Sneaking it past the park officials had been a pain, but a lady was always prepared for anything.

"You couldn't even find the bug I asked for," she continued, deftly releasing a Zangoose in a flash of light. Without a word from Nui the Zangoose leaped into action, striking with a pair of Slash attacks, sending the Beedrill crashing to the ground in a heap.

"Go on and find a good one," she said to the Zangoose, turning and walking lightly away. "I'm going to catch Obdures. He's going to need extra-special training tonight if he runs that easily."

OOC Note: In canon, Nui is at best complicit in at least one sexual assault, and at worst has committed or been part of others off-screen. For my own comfort and the comfort of others, I will NOT be actively playing out these aspects of her character.
